Women more Willing than Men to Think about their Funeral

18th Nov 2015 | Europe Plans

According to the YouGov Funeral Planning[YouGov Plc, Funeral Planning, 2014] report, women in the UK are more willing to think about their funeral than men are.

Across all age ranges, 69 per cent of all women have started thinking about their funeral, compared to 62 per cent of men. Among the over 55s, 76 per cent of women and 70 per cent of men have thought about what they would like. In the 45-54 age group, the gap is larger. Only 55 per cent of men have considered their ceremony, whereas 70 per cent of women are already thinking about their funeral.

When thinking about your funeral ceremony, there are many factors to consider. Do you want a burial or cremation? How will your funeral be paid for?

With just one in four adults having planned their funeral in the past five years, a large proportion of the population don’t yet understand what’s involved.

A pre-paid funeral plan can reduce the stress for your family and friends. It will take the pain of organising and financing a funeral away from those you leave behind, giving them time to come to terms with their loss.
